Thailand is the most popular tourist country in Southeast Asia. People from all over the world visit Thailand to experience the amazing cuisine, breathtakingly beautiful beaches, adventurous activities at economical prices and the lush jungles. If you are going to Thailand for the first time following are a few things that you should keep in mind:

1. Accommodation

When selecting accommodation for your trip always remember that Thailand is relatively cheap when compared to other tourist countries. So it is better to search for lower priced accommodations than what you had planned; don’t worry, there will be no major difference in services. In big cities like Bangkok, you can get a good accommodation at the price of 300 THB per night and 200 THB per night in the countryside. On the other hand, big resorts on islands start from 1,700 THB for spending a night at a bungalow while hotels charge 1,350 per night for regular rooms.

2. Food

The best way to experience authentic Thai food is to eat street food. You will get true Thai food in 20 THB and you can get a filling meal in 35-50 THB. If you want to go fine dining, there are a number of fancy restaurants where the food will cost from 170 to 340 THB per person.

3. Transportation

If you really want to see their culture and their heritage then you must travel on local buses, skytrain and metro. This way you will be able to see all important things and communicate with the locals. Moreover, these are cheaper than tuk-tuk, motorbike taxi and the regular taxi.

Apart from that make sure you have the right Thai app as it can help you in selecting destinations and activities to do.
